We are fortunate to be based in the great outdoor haven of Johnson County, Tennessee, with many “Protected Natural Resources” that are waiting to be explored. Our county is home to Doe Mountain Recreation Area with over 8,000 acres of protected mountain terrain providing ATV trails, hiking trails, biking trails and horse trails. Our small county is also home to Watagua Lake with most of its 110 miles of shoreline surrounded and protected by National Forest, helping to make it the third cleanest lake in the entire United States of America. The lake is cold and clean providing water sports such as swimming, boat touring, skiing, wave running, kayaking, white water rafting, and fishing. The Appalachian Trail passes through our county and is easily accessible in several locations. We are home to some great waterfalls such as Gentry Falls which provides for an excellent hiking adventure. Our county also hosts the world famous “Snake 421” Motorcycle and Sport Car Ride, which crosses (3) mountains, involves (489) curves of riding adventure and an incredible cruise through Shady Valley, Tennessee, which is bordered by Iron Mountain on one side and Holston Mountain on the other side.
